In this essay I am  button away to write  close to what happened to change the writers  prognosis on sprightliness, and how it changed the writers personality in the end. I am also going to mention what the writer  wise(p)  to the highest degree life on earth from this experience. In  light speed miles per hour, upside down and sideways, Rick Bragg as a  stripling changes from a careless driver, into a person who notices, and cares about life. This is what I have gotten from this  falsehood by analysis, and what I   think the author learned also.  In this  humbug Rick Bragg is a teenager that has worked for his first car. In the story Rick Bragg te   lls you,  She was a 1969 General Motors convertible muscle car with a 350 V-8 and a Holley four-barreled carburetor as long as my arm.(pg13). As you can tell he is very detailed, and that he   exactly loves this car that he has purchased. Bragg  infers this car is his equalizer, meaning it brings him up to par with all of the more popular people in his own eyes.

 The car only lasted him two weeks after he first bought it. He was racing on a   orbital cavity of road in town when he saw the   threatening lights of the towns police officers car. This is the part in the story when he states that he mashes the pedal down h   ard and   consequently as a result, as he ma!   de the   round of duty he says he had a sickening  feeling as the car began to lift and twist in the  cable. after this part is the point in the story where I think his outlook changed on life. He went from the careless teenager to a person who was given another chance at life.
